Established in 1866
The Barton House was built in 1866 by Dr. Welborn Barton and his wife Louisa Adeline Cox. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, and the house has been marked with a Texas Centennial Marker. Construction on The Barton House, as it stands today, was completed in three major stages. Great food! Great service! Great Atmosphere! We loved it!
Best filet ever. Wonderful service. Fantastic appetizers. Southwestern cuisine that is as good as what my grandmother made. Wonderful.
Loved it so much we went 5 times in 2 weeks. The staff is so friendly. Debbie gave us a tour of the entire building. Beautiful! And the kitchen is more than accommodating when I needed modifications for my dietary needs. I am on Ideal Protein diet.
This is a must. Best fish tacos, unique french fries and juicy perfectly cooked burgers. Came upon this beautiful restaurant by accident and feeling lucky. Honestly one of the best lunches I have had in a long time. Wish I lived closer. Megan, our waitress was full of information and recommendations while providing excellent service. Historic building and great ambiance.
Delicious food! They've done a great job remodeling the place, but keeping the historic atmosphere. One of THE BEST restaurants in the Salado area!
Excellent! Highly recommended and like to visit at least once a week.
